Profile
I am an experienced, qualified counsellor working from a Gestalt perspective, offering one to one, short and long-term counselling. I take a holistic approach in understanding what it means to be human. This involves exploring the relationship with people’s thoughts, feelings, soul, body and social environment.
My therapeutic practice is defined by a relational way of being, built on warmth, creativity,
compassion, integrity and humor. I stay alongside you, to support you in setting the pace and
tone of counselling. I believe therapy can be a space to focus on understanding your problems and
barriers, to explore how you experience the world, enabling you to understand the internal
conflicts and unhelpful patterns which might hold you back.
People come to counselling for many reasons; they feel stuck, lonely, lack direction or are engaging in unhealthy relationships to name but a few. Whatever your reason for seeking counselling it will be driven by a desire to change aspects of your life that no longer serve you. Taking the first step to reach out for support can feel scary and overwhelming yet demonstrates a huge amount of bravery. I believe we all want to be heard, seen and truly accepted for all of who we are. Counselling can be a safe place to allow yourself to experience this, to be fully yourself, as you are.
